Who We Are
GetSmallClaims launched in 2026 as a self-help document preparation tool for small claims court. It helps individuals turn their own facts into a properly formatted court filing pack - without the cost of hiring an attorney for a process that, by design, most people can handle themselves.
GetSmallClaims is built and run by Ziv Shay, an independent software developer. It is an independent project, not a law firm and not affiliated with any court. The tool covers small claims procedures for all 50 US states and the District of Columbia.
What We Do

Our Approach
Small claims court was designed from the ground up to allow ordinary people to represent themselves. In most states, you do not even need a lawyer. Why Document Preparation Matters
